In 1977 newlyweds Martin and Carrie Crump moved from Gillette to attend Bible College at CTC in Lafayette, Louisiana. After graduating in 1980, they moved back to Gillette to make their home and start a family.

In 1985 Martin Crump became the pastor of a new church that had been meeting at New Life Family Outreach Center Inc., a Christian counseling center.

In 1990 Pastor Marty made the decision to go full-time into ministry and move the church into a remodeled warehouse on Third Street. They also changed the church’s name from New Life Family Outreach to Family Life Church.

As God continued to bless the church and its members the congregation grew allowing Marty to give up construction work altogether and concentrate fully on the church body’s needs.  Family Life Church's membership grew at a steady pace and in the year 2000 plans to build a new and larger facility were on the drawing board when the land for the plant was donated by a businessman and friend of the ministry. Plans were finalized in 2002 and the ground work began at our new location. Through the many hands of volunteers and local area construction crews, the new building, located on Highway 50, was ready for services in September of 2006.

Pastor Marty and Carrie have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
